A Terrible Poverty
Nov 20th
Loneliness is the most terrible poverty. Mother Teresa
The phone sat silently on the kitchen counter. I picked it up to double check?no missed calls and no voice mails. Hmmm. I?ll go check email. Nothing here either. Where has everyone gone? I hadn?t heard from friends in days; some had disappeared months ago. A few of my most cherished friends simply stopped responding to my messages. The weight of my disease?Ankylosing Spondylitis, an auto-immune disease that causes hardening of the spine, joints, and major organs?spilled over into my relationships. Maybe her life is too difficult to listen to my burdens? Is she More >

Nov 12th
This Friday I’m showcasing Stephanie S.’ cool blog about her wifely adventures in supporting her husband’s graduate school education. Her latest post is about his zealous search for a job. I’m sure many of us can relate to those early days of marriage and relationship–I certainly do! I worked for several years as a Registered Dietitian and supported my husband’s graduate (and post-graduate) education as a pharmacist. Now, I raise the kids and he supports us But, I digress. Which reminds me–how are you doing with homiletics? Don?t worry; I haven?t forgotten the final chapter!
Still not convinced homiletics is for you? Hear what one woman told me:

DOWN TO THE NITTY GRITTY
Jun 24th
I?m praising God today! We had a great turnout to our first home study and are on our way to faithfully pursuing God and His Word. I?ve heard from many of you that you?re excited about the study and want to learn homiletics. I?m thrilled to share notes from our discussion last night for those of you who don?t live in the Dallas area.
We started off the night by discussing good study practices. If you’re new to Bible study, this just means we approach Scripture responsibly. Here are some widely accepted standards (an excellent reference is “Living by the More >
