Spotlight on Kristen of "Moms Sharpening Moms"
May 18th
I want to introduce you to an amazing friend of mine, Kristen, co-founder of blog “Moms Sharpening Moms“. She and her fellow mommies-turned-writers are working hard to encourage and strengthen moms around the world in their relationship with Christ. I met Kristen through a mutual friend, Jen, who is a precious friend from my home church. As I got to know Jen, and love her sweet spirit, I knew any friend of hers was a friend I wanted to have. So, over the past six months, Kristen and I took took turns visiting each other’s blogs, commenting, and sharing our hearts–a virtual More >

Give Me Something REAL!
Apr 30th
The Bible teaches us to keep our thoughts focused on Christ.
What does that mean? How do we do that in real life?
Every time worrisome thoughts creep up TRY THIS:
- IMMEDIATELY talk to God about it. Tell Him what’s going on.
- ASK Him to guard your thoughts and help you trust in Him.
- FOCUS your attention on His Word. Keep your Bible nearby. Read it.
- REPEAT throughout the day!
…and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Gingerly, I pull myself up from my usual position on the sofa. However, any movement, no matter how gentle or slight, sparks a raging fire in every joint in my body. Ankylosing Spondylitis, an autoimmune disease which hardens the spine, joints and major organs, had transformed my healthy, vibrant body to diseased mess. Pain and immobility kept me land-locked on the couch or bed most days.
Fighting back tears?not wanting him to see my pain?I pick up the papers he dropped on More >
A Sweet Secret
Apr 20th
?Let me tell you a secret,? I whispered to my six year old niece, Sophia. I pulled her close and cupped my hand beside her ear, ?I?m not just your aunt and you?re no longer just my niece. Now we are sisters in Christ. We are both part of God?s FAMILY.? As she turned her head in surprise, big smiles spread across our faces. ?I?m really proud of your decision to ask Jesus to be the boss of your life.? With a nod, she responded quietly, ?Me too.?
That little secret must have made a huge impact on Sophia?s heart. Over More >
